With a bachelor's degree in math education and a master's degree in school counseling, I spent five years teaching 7th grade in the Center Grove Community School Corporation, and another two years as an at risk counselor in Brown County Schools before becoming a Realtor® in 2009. I use my skills as an educator on a daily basis to connect with my clients and help educate them on the home-buying and home-selling process.

Being a real estate agent is about understanding the process of buying and selling homes and guiding my clients through this maze, but it is also about making personal connections with them. This is what I enjoy most about my career.

I currently serve as President of the Century 21 Scheetz Charitable Foundation, which focuses on helping those with immediate, emergency needs in our community.  I love being able to connect this type of volunteer work with my profession.  Not only do I serve as the Vice President, but I have committed to giving a portion of my paycheck from each of my closings to this foundation.  What a blessing it is to be able to give to those who need it most!!

I am also involved in my local community and using my education background by serving as a board member for the Center Grove Education Foundation
This group focuses on partnering with our community to enrich the lives of all CGCSC students by funding extraordinary and innovative learning experiences.  This is a group that I hold near and dear because it allows me to use my knowledge of the education system in a way that benefits future generations.

My husband and I LOVE to take our RV, Roxy V, on adventures all over the country with our two children!  We have been to California, Arizona, Colorado, Yellowstone, Florida, North Carolina and Kentucky, just to name a few!  Our favorite quick getaway is to visit the beautiful, and always friendly,Indiana State Parks.  We are trying to make it to all 28 of them!

Roxy V teaches my family to enjoy and explore the simple pleasures in life, and helps us get away from our busy day to day lives with the comfort of home.  We take small trips and big trips in our traveling home, and we are not afraid to explore!  As a matter of fact, we travel exclusively in our RV, and when we took our kids to a hotel a couple years ago, they had no idea how staying at a hotel worked!!

Life is about the Journey!
